He has more than 12 years of experience in microfinance. He holds Master Degree in Social Work. He started his career in a SWABHIMAAN; Pune based microfinance organization as operation manager in West Bengal. His role was to provide technical support to the local microfinance organization in Kolkata. Later on he joined as Executive Director of non-profit organization, NCRC (Navnirman Community Resource Centre). He run the microfinance program for 5 years and developed a model of social microfinance organization that will focus not only providing access to financial services but also to provide various socio economic support without which the development of deprived families are limited. He was invited to describe STEP’s model in different country like, Cambodia, Philippines, Myanmar, Africa, Luxembourg and France.


Arati Shaw

Director & Operation Manager

Microfinance She hold MA in Political science, B.Ed, MSW. More than 10 years of experience in policy development and implementation in Microfinance. She worked as Operation Manager in a microfinance organization. She has attended seminar/conference on social microfinance in Cambodia, Philippines.


Suparna Das

Director & Social Project Manager

Suparna Das has been associated with STEP from the beginning of this organization. She is currently overseeing the Social and vocational training project. She has more than 12 years of experience. Prior to join this project, she worked as branch manager in microfinance. She has attended various training program and workshop in India as well as abroad (Cambodia, Philippines etc). She holds Master in Social work (MSW).
